The ABI PRISM® 377 DNA Sequencer (Applied Biosystems) automatically analyzes DNA molecules labeled with multiple fluorescent dyes. After samples are loaded onto the system's vertical gel, they undergo electrophoresis, laser detection, and computer analysis.
