Main research topics under active investigation are; Plant development with strong areas in wood biology, flower development and hormone physiology; Forest genetics with emphasis on population genetics and breeding; Photosynthesis and metabolism dealing both with the light and dark reactions of photosynthesis with a special interest for stress responses (low temperature in particular); Ecophysiology studying C- and N- assimilation. The research groups are supported by Technique platforms in genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, production of transgenic plants, microscopy.
